Incusia vs Invoice2go

The phone app changed owners. The yearly cap stayed.

Switch if you are hitting 30 or 100 invoices a year, or Premium at $44.99 a month is the only plan that removes the cap. Starter here is $9 with no yearly count.

Stay if the iPhone or Android app is how you invoice from the job, and free ACH plus the in-app bank account are why you stayed. A website is not that phone.

Last reviewed 7 November 2026Checked against Invoice2go's own pricing page, in USD, on the date printed in the comparison. The date on this page is 7 November 2026.

Invoice2go's pricing page, checked 7 November 2026 in USD, is Starter at $7.99 a month or $79.99 a year for 30 invoices a year, Professional at $11.99 or $119.99 for 100, and Premium at $44.99 or $449.99 for unlimited. BILL completed the acquisition on 1 September 2021. The app is still sold. The cap is still yearly.

  • Same buyer as Invoice Simple

A solo contractor or a trade, invoicing from a phone between jobs. Invoice2go is built for that afternoon. Incusia is a website that works in the phone browser. It is not a native app.

  • The cap is the year, not the month

Starter allows 30 invoices a year. Professional allows 100. Unlimited is Premium, at $44.99 a month. Incusia Starter is $9 a month with no yearly count.

  • BILL owns it. The product is still there.

The acquisition did not shut the app down. It put a larger finance company behind the subscription, the bank account, and the plan you are already on. Open the current plan before you assume an old unlimited price still applies.

What the ownership change means if you are already on it

BILL, then Bill.com, completed the purchase of Invoice2go on 1 September 2021. The product is still Invoice2go. The site is invoice.2go.com, and the homepage presents it as Invoice2go from BILL. Nothing on the pricing page says the app is closing. People who joined years ago sometimes still describe a plan that the current page does not sell. The page that matters is the one in the account: Starter, Professional, or Premium.

Checked 7 November 2026, with the currency set to USD. Starter is $7.99 a month or $79.99 a year, and it allows 30 invoices a year. Professional is $11.99 a month or $119.99 a year, and it allows 100 invoices a year. Premium is $44.99 a month or $449.99 a year, with unlimited invoices, recurring invoices, and phone support. Yearly billing on the page is marked as 16% off the monthly total. Card fees are 3.5% on Starter, 3% on Professional, and 2.9% on Premium. ACH bank transfers are free on every plan. PayPal is 2.9% + 30¢ on every plan.

The trial is 30 days and the page says a credit card is required. Cancel inside the trial and the subscription is not charged. That is not a free plan. Incusia's trial is 7 days of full Pro access and does not ask for a card, and there is no free plan after it either. The same phone-first buyer is described on the Invoice Simple alternative. If the pain is a card percentage rather than a yearly cap, the Square Invoices page is the other arithmetic.

A phone on the job is the part Incusia does not win

Invoice2go is for the person Invoice Simple is for. You are in a van, or on a site, and the invoice goes out before you leave. The pricing page lists iOS and Android steps for upgrading, and it says switching accounts is not available on the web app. Estimates are unlimited on every plan. Clients, projects, and team members are unlimited on every plan. Expenses, appointments, and a timer are on every plan. Reminders are on every plan. Recurring invoices are Premium only.

That phone is more finished than a mobile browser. If you send fewer than 30 invoices a year, Starter at $7.99 is less than Incusia at $9, and free ACH is a real saving when the client pays from a bank instead of a card. Stay for the app, the ACH, and the bank account the product opens. Incusia does not issue you a debit card. The free invoice generator will show you a PDF. It will not live on your home screen the way their app does.

Premium at $44.99 a month, $449.99 a year, is the plan that removes the cap and adds recurring invoices. That is a lot of subscription for unlimited sending. Starter on Incusia is $9 with no yearly count, estimates a client can sign, and reminders. Card processing, if they pay by card, is Stripe's fee and is not on our pricing page. Invoice2go's 2.9% on Premium is their own card price. Compare the subscription and the card line separately. A contractor who never passes 30 invoices, and who texts the invoice from the app, should not switch to save a dollar of software.

  • Stay if the native app, free ACH, and the in-app bank account are the workflow.
  • Switch if 30 or 100 invoices a year is the wall, or if Premium is the only unlimited plan.
  • Recurring invoices are Premium only. They are on Incusia Pro, not on Starter.

If you leave, the old account does not follow you

Invoice2go's FAQ says a lapsed account can still export from the web, and that a deactivated account can view lists but not open the documents. Export before you are in that state if you can. Their import help, on the same page, is QuickBooks in and not a general file out of every other tool. Add the clients you still bill into Incusia and reissue anything unpaid so the client has one link.

The subscription renews monthly or yearly. Cancel in the app under Manage subscription, or on the web under Account and settings. Ending it does not move the bank account or the debit card they issued you. Those are BILL's, through the bank named on the page, and they are a reason to read your own account before you assume the invoicing login is the only thing that closes. Incusia cancellation is one click, and it only cancels the software.

Where Invoice2go is strong

Invoice2go is the phone. iOS and Android are how a contractor sends the invoice before leaving the job, and the web app is the second screen. ACH is free on every plan, estimates are unlimited, and a bank account and debit card are part of the product. Starter at $7.99 is genuinely cheaper than $9 if 30 invoices a year is enough. BILL has owned it since 2021, and the app is still on sale. If that phone, that ACH, and that account are why you stayed, stay.

  • Native iPhone and Android apps
  • Free ACH on every plan
  • A bank account and debit card in the product
  • Starter at $7.99 if 30 invoices a year is enough

Pricing checked 7 November 2026 against the company's own pricing page.

Where Incusia is different

Starter is $9 a month with unlimited invoices, not 30 or 100 a year. The price is locked at signup. Estimates a client can sign and reminders are included. There is no native app, no bank account, and no free plan. Premium on Invoice2go, the unlimited tier, is $44.99 a month. Pro here is $29, and that is where recurring invoices live. Lifetime is $99 once.

  • No yearly invoice cap on any paid plan
  • $9 a month against Premium at $44.99 for unlimited
  • A website, not a phone app and not a bank
  • 7 day trial, full Pro, no card

FAQ

Common questions

Who owns Invoice2go now?

BILL. The company, then Bill.com, completed the acquisition on 1 September 2021. The app is still sold as Invoice2go, from BILL, at invoice.2go.com. The ownership change did not close the product. It means the subscription, the bank account, and the plan caps are a BILL product now.

What does Invoice2go cost?

Checked 7 November 2026, in USD. Starter is $7.99 a month or $79.99 a year for 30 invoices a year. Professional is $11.99 or $119.99 for 100. Premium is $44.99 or $449.99 for unlimited. Cards are 3.5%, 3%, and 2.9%. ACH is free.

Is Starter enough for a contractor?

If you send fewer than 30 invoices in the year, Starter at $7.99 is cheaper than $9, and the phone app is the better job-site tool. Deposits and variations use the same yearly count. Thirty is a quiet year.

When is Premium the only plan that works?

When you need more than 100 invoices a year, or recurring invoices. Both sit on Premium, at $44.99 a month or $449.99 a year. Incusia Starter is $9 with no yearly cap. Recurring invoices on Incusia are Pro, at $29, not Starter. Price the feature you use, not the brand.

Does the trial need a card?

Invoice2go's page says yes. The trial is 30 days, and a card is required, with no subscription charge if you cancel inside the 30 days. Incusia's trial is 7 days of full Pro access and does not ask for a card. Neither trial is a free plan.

What happens to people who signed up before BILL?

The app did not disappear. The plan on the current pricing page may not be the plan you remember. Open the subscription and read the invoice count: 30 a year, 100 a year, or unlimited. An old screenshot of a price is not the bill. The account screen is.

Is the phone app a reason to stay?

Yes. Invoice2go is built for iOS and Android, and account switching is not on the web app. Incusia is a website in the phone browser, not the app already on a contractor's home screen. Stay if that app is the workflow.

Are the card fees the whole cost?

No. You pay the subscription and then 3.5%, 3%, or 2.9% on cards. ACH is free. PayPal is 2.9% + 30¢. Incusia's $9 does not include a card fee. Stripe's rate, if they pay by card, is not on our pricing page.

Can I get my Invoice2go data out?

Their FAQ says you can export from the web, and that a lapsed account can view lists but not open each document. Export while it is active. There is no one-click import here. Reissue open invoices so there is one pay link.

What happens after the 7 day trial?

Incusia's trial is 7 days of full Pro access, with no card. It is not a free plan. On day 7 the account is read only until you choose Starter at $9, Pro at $29, or Lifetime at $99. Invoice2go's trial is 30 days and requires a card up front.

Or send the next invoice without using up the year

Starter is 30 invoices a year. Professional is 100. Unlimited is Premium, at $44.99 a month. BILL has owned the app since 2021.

I looked at Invoice2go because the buyer is the same person I kept seeing on Invoice Simple: a contractor with a phone and a job that afternoon. BILL has owned it since 2021, the app is still there, and the pricing page is still a yearly invoice cap unless you are on Premium. I did not want the next invoice in a busy month to be a plan change.
